The Buying and Selling in the Church - Baby Christians

Image
BABY CHRISTIANS by JOERYOS  Babies are known to be immature and tender as they are very young and need nurturing. The Bible describes baby Christians  as people  that still suck milk and breast.  We have 90% of this kind of people in the church and different organizations today. Their activities in and outside the ‘House of God’ speak loud of their existence. How can we know them? It is so simple just as the popular saying goes that “by their fruit, you shall know them.” Why should we identify them? It is needful to do so in order not to be dragged to unfulfilment and disarray of purpose thereby making us live contrary to the will of God for us. They are the type that talk when sermon is ongoing. They talk about business, personal and other nonessential matters. They are the type that jealous people’s cloths, shoes and general appearance. They come into the church with different kinds of business ideas. They introduce new designs of cloths, shoes and...

Stand Strong amidst the urge!

The Urge to Quit? Stand Strong! It is the easiest thing to do when all seem hopeless and helpless yet it is the most difficult and costly thing to do. It is called quitting. Many who once saw greatness and victory ahead of them now see gloominess and dreariness all as  result of seemingly unpredicted circumstances of life. As much as it is the best thing to do when all of our world look like it's crumbling, the next best thing to do is to stand strong and never quit. In the words of Bishop T.D Jakes, “…It’s an urge, truth be told, every champion has felt it, every president has felt it, every winner has felt it, every king has felt it, every winner has felt it, every soldier has felt it, every victorious person has felt it, the urge to quit. Don’t you give up on your dream. I don’t care if you don’t have the money, you don’t have the help, and you don’t have the family for it, and you don’t have the background for it, and you don’t have the friends for it, don’t you give...

Living the Higher Life

Seven Uplifting Facts of Life in Christ The book of Ephesians 1: 1 - 11 is one that can be read over and over again without a clear revelation of the power of God within it if it is read carnally. But when it is read with the desire to discover God's secret from it, the Spirit of God gives one divine revelation of uplifting facts of life in Christ from it. I have found seven uplifting facts of life in Christ in this chapter. Wow! Enjoy it with me. 1. Blessed with all spiritual blessings in Heaven - Ephesians 1:3. I have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in Heaven already in Christ Jesus. 2. I am chosen to be holy and blameless - Ephesians 1:4. You can only the life that God has given you. A dog cannot live a cat life. God has given me a holy life in Christ. 3. Predestinated unto sonship - Ephesians 1:5. Jesus is called a son of God because even before He was born to the world, He is God. The life in Him on earth was the life of God. So I am not placed as a son...

Is this the Next Level of Change?

Image
Nigeria and the Change Ideology In 2015, Nigeria's democratic system witnessed a historic evolution. This evolution which involved two giants being the famous ruling party for over 16 years and a newly formed political party which was determined to take over power and chart a new course for the Nigerian populace came at a period when Most Nigerians including myself needed a new experience of a different leadership from a different political platform. This newly desired leadership experience became a reality when the All Progressives Congress defeated the People's Democratic Party in the presidential election and history was made as the incumbent government was democratically defeated for the first time since the military handed over power to civilian rule in 1999 and the incumbent president accepted defeat. The winning party came into power with the people very optimistic and hopeful of a better Nigeria as 'CHANGE' was their mantra and they went all length, ...
