LEAP (A Soul Poem)
LEAP
Sitting with hands crossed
Body and soul clutched as a baby would to mother's breast,
Mind and eyes could barely sight the mirage of hopes told
So I stood but my shivering feet could less be steady,
Many woes the foes of heights declare
But the conscious leap in this inner self brought desired frith to bare.
(Poem by PraiseGod Wome)
With the atmosphere filled with fear and panic caused by rumors and all manner of false and unverified information dispersed by even those supposed to enlighten the populace of vital issues regarding the wellness of their lives, hopes seem defeated even when all things seem to be new in a new year. Confusion readily settling down in the hearts of many because of uncertainty of the next unfavourable happening and they know not what to expect in a society where falsehood thrives more than sincere truth.
All we can do for ourselves is to remain firm on prompt alertness and see positivity from our inner man. Refuse to panic unnecessarily when many do and save yourself much trouble.
