Dreams are synonymous to life

Have you ever dreamt? 

The question might sound odd. Anyways, the word 'DREAM' is not new to us. Even a child of age 5 can have dreams and narrate such to his or her parents or guardians. The word can refer to two different things. 

Dream can be on one hand what you see in your subconscious state while asleep and your visions and aspirations in life on the other hand. Which of the two is my focal point in this piece? It is the latter. When I was a little boy of seven, I used to desire to be a doctor as most kids of today would desire not because I had full knowledge of how it would come to be but because I loved what doctors do and how they dressed.

As time went on, the paths of life presented me with diverse opportunities and in realities today being 20 years after, I am being something different from what I dreamt of becoming. So, what am I driving at?

We all desire different things in life and these include happiness, career growth, marital bliss, spiritual fervency, successful relationship, lifelong financial stability as well as a flourishing business and others. While growing up, some of us held these dreams in high esteem but along the paths of life, the winds of time and tides brought about diverse realities which we find hard to accept and in some cases, accept the outcomes and never desire such again.

What happens when our dreams and aspirations don't materialize?

Dream Again!

Some people forget so soon how they gave lots of energy to envision greatness and a good life in alignment with their different desires once disappointment hit them. What is that your vision and dream you've been pruning in the garden of your mind's eyes? 

Why the sudden halt all because of the realities that unfolded into your world? Can you do me a favour and in turn do yourself a bigger favour?

As a student, you've faced difficulties in your studies? DREAM again! Excellence is still sufficient. 

Are you a business man/woman? DREAM again! There's abundance of business exploits ahead.

Is your marriage at the edge of collapse? Was that part of your dreams and vision? DREAM again! Breakthrough is much available if you take a little moment of your time to envision it.

You have waited on God countless times to change your financial and economic status and you've stopped dream and envisioning possibility. How come? DREAM again! Your are near your dreams and aspirations. Let your hopes come alive!

Whatsoever your dreams and visions were in the past or whatever they may be in the present; good health, fruit of the womb or a child of your own, finding your life partner, responsible behaviour of your child(ren), academic upliftment, strong relationship with your creator, successful entrepreneurship, easy access to the basic amenities and other good things of life, whatever they may be, make up your mind, envision them, see their possibility, and DREAM AGAIN! Life has a lot to offer you because God is the owner of that LIFE and as long as you are alive, you've got to 'DREAM BIG' for it's only the dead that stops dreaming. Allow God make your dreams come through.

Many celebrate Easter with the hope of being impacted by its significance as it marks the memorial of the Lord's crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection. The day of crucifixion saw the fulfillment of God's  promise of redemption, deliverance and emancipation of the world through the spotless blood of Christ Jesus the only begotten.  The day didn't end without the great pronouncement of the completion of the Great Sacrifice by the Sacrificial Lamb himself. NGF Chairman, Kayode Fayemi spills fire on rape!

The chairman of the Nigerian Governors' Forum, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, the Governor of Ekiti State has directed the state's Attorney General (AG) and the commissioner for justice to refuse rape offenders plea bargaining and bail application. He has also pledged to use his office as the chairman of the Governor's Forum to work together with his co-governors in ensuring that rape offenders don't go unpunished. He further signed a bill protecting children from sexual violence into law. The bill was recently passed by the state house of assembly and entitled "Compulsory Treatment and Care for Child Victims of Sexual Violence Law, 2020." This is a laudable effort. Don't you think so?
