A LETTER TO MY UNBORN DAUGHTER - Phase II (The Society)

My elegant Jewel,

Like I promised in my previous letter to write again as soonest, I'm doing so now to show you how much you mean to me for you're my inestimable treasure. I know you must have anticipated to hear from me again after reading through the contents of the recent letter.

I am writing again to buttress some of the points I made previously for there's great need for me to do so. In this letter and the subsequent ones, I'd be giving details of my society, nationality, life in general and the teens and adult's view of it. More so, I'd go deep into our diverse cultures, religious perceptions and more of you most importantly.

My Maker in one of the biblical books said "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." this means that one is easily destroyed by what he or she is not aware of and even if one knows that thing and refuses to apply wisdom to it, one would find it difficult to overcome it and that's why our Maker still tells us that "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." This means that you need uncommon knowledge of where you're coming, wisdom from your Maker and His understanding which is His mindset in order to thrive here.

Like I wrote previously, I exist in an ungodly society where good people are hated for their good deeds and evil people celebrated for their hypocrisy and deceit suited with the most costly apparel of comforting, encouraging and inspiring words all flooded with lies which become too late to be detected and disarmed. Diverse ills in my society range from evil heart breeding hatred towards God and fellow men as well as jealousy. Ethnic and religious bigotry, threat of national, societal and individual peace and stability, outbreak of insecurity, kidnapping, violence sometimes leading to untold death; rape, sexual assaults and outbreak of fornication, adultery and abortions, child molestation, abuse and slavery, untold hardship, depression and denial of human rights, selfishness, greediness and self justification are all exalted in my society but in spite of all these, there are those who are giving their best daily to fight against their dominance and ensure that the desire of God for humanity prevails and I know you're among those that will continue this fight.

I do not write to scare you at all but I write to bring them to your awareness so you would be properly kitted for the fight before you for this is the purpose of God for you and He has not made available in you the spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind so there's no cause to be afraid. This indeed is my joy for I am well assured that he which hath begun a good work in you will bring it to perfection.

The realities I highlighted above about my society are all as a result of what I call pursuit and quest for power, fame and self actualization or fulfillment. It is on these I'll write on in my next letter. Till I write to you again, remain in a sound mind and keep flourishing. Amen!
