Student aged 22 raped in a church; NANS demand justice

Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100 level student of Micro-biology at the University of Benin whose dream was to become a nurse is now dead.

From news report, she had been going to collect the key to the church where she was a chorister in order to study privately to equip herself for the academic journey which will continue after the lockdown on schools has been lifted but the study day of May 27 turned out sour for her as she was gang raped, found half naked in a pool of blood and later gave up the ghost at the University Teaching Hospital, Benin, Edo State, Nigeria.

                   

The UNIBEN chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students - NANS has demanded justice for her death as the Police are working hard to track the perpetrators of the evil act. May God bring justice to bare on behalf of the departed soul and preserve our young sisters and female companions from further being victims of this  mire. Amen.

How long will this kind of evil go unpunished? Let's keep tracking the efforts of the State Government and the Police Force.

    When music from filths like the crop of hip-hop musicians a country like Nigeria promotes through her so-called corporate organisations fill the airwaves and streets centres in forms of glamorised concerts ; what should you expect? Insanities, stupidity, immorality, foolish radicality and all forms of absurdities like rape, drunkenness, suicide, homicide, robberies and everything that sinks an entire nation in totality.

DIGNITY IS A GREAT VIRTUE  Dignity is the state or quality of being worthy of honour or respect.   The only way we can secure our dignity is by not being lazy with our work. A lazy person will loose his/her dignity. A lazy pastor/ prophet will loose his/ her dignity if he/ she refuses to work.
