What is Phobia?
Phobia is a psychological term which refers to the state of great fear for something. It is the persistent fear of a situation, activity, or thing that causes the sufferer to want to avoid it. It is a state of mind and can become a threat to one's mental and physical health. There are lots of phobias and few have been selected for our general knowledge as they are most common among us.
As you may notice while you browse through this list, most specific phobias fall into one of four major categories: fears of the natural environment, fears related to animals, fear related to medical treatments or issues, and fears related to specific situations.
One important thing to remember is that virtually any object can become a fear object.
